Questions and Answers
How can the PJe benefit my company?
The PJe offers a number of benefits for companies, including greater agility in the processing of legal proceedings, reduced costs with paper and physical storage of documents, and greater transparency and security in legal procedures. In addition, the digitalization of cases facilitates the monitoring and management of lawsuits, allowing the company to keep up to date with the progress of its cases in real time.
What are the costs involved in implementing the PJe for my company?
The main costs are related to acquiring digital certificates for the lawyers who will represent the company and updating computer systems to meet PJe requirements, such as installing compatible browsers and the necessary plugins. However, in the long term, digitizing processes can result in significant savings, eliminating expenses with paper, printing and physical storage of documents.
Does my company need to hire a lawyer specialized in PJe?
It is not necessary to hire a lawyer who specializes exclusively in PJe, but it is recommended that the lawyers representing your company are familiar with the system and know how to use it efficiently. This ensures that legal proceedings are conducted swiftly and in accordance with legal requirements.
How can I guarantee the security of my company's information in the PJe?
The PJe uses digital certificates to authenticate users and guarantee data security. It is essential that the company adopts good cybersecurity practices, such as regularly updating systems, using strong passwords and educating employees about digital security measures. In addition, the PJe system itself is designed to protect the confidentiality and integrity of procedural information.
Can my company access court proceedings in other jurisdictions via the PJe?
Yes, the PJe allows access to legal proceedings in different jurisdictions, such as the Federal Court, the State Court, the Military Court and the Labor Court. This makes it easier to manage lawsuits that may involve the company in different spheres of the judicial system. The company can follow all the processes in a single system, centralizing the management and monitoring of lawsuits.
